Kate Smith

Kate Smith's work experience includes serving as the Director of Operations at Lowcountry Innovators, Creators, and Scientists (LINCS) since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Community Relations Director at Vikor Scientific starting in October 2021. From August 2021 to October 2021, they were an Education Consultant at Charleston Digital Corridor. Kate also served as the Quality Enhancement Program Director at Charleston County First Steps from August 2014 to September 2016. Other roles include being an Early Interventionist at Kid In Development Services from May 2013 to August 2014, as well as an Assessment Specialist/Interim Curriculum Coordinator at Daniel Island Academy from April 2012 to November 2012. Additionally, Kate has experience as a Director/Assistant Director at Children's Choice Learning Center from August 2011 to April 2012. Kate has also worked at SHARE Early Head Start, where they served as a Quality Control Specialist, and a Teacher III and Site Manager from September 2009 to July 2011.

Kate Smith attended Clemson University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2011, they became a Certified Trainer at the Center for Child Care Career Development, and in 2014, they obtained the Technical Assistance Provider, Generalist II certification from the South Carolina Early Care and Education Technical Assistance System.
