Chuck Brown

Communications & Community Relations Director at Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission

Chuck is responsible for positively positioning WSSC Water, its vital mission and dedicated employees through customer-focused communication and community outreach efforts. Prior to joining WSSC Water, Chuck provided strategic communications leadership in the transportation sector, including Amtrak and the Maryland Department of Transportation. Fulfilling his passion to serve those in need, he also worked as a psychotherapist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore where he managed the Center for Autism and Related Disorders’ Social Work department and provided compassionate care for clients and their families.

Chuck earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Towson University and a Master of Social Work from The Catholic University of America. Chuck’s brain somehow retains useless movie facts and quotes, as well as lyrics from 70s, 80s and 90s rock songs. To the bewilderment of those around him, he tends to randomly break into song from said decades. During his spare time, Chuck enjoys all types of outdoor activities, including riding his pink mountain bike he fondly nicknamed the Pink Panther.
