Melissa Richardson

Melissa Richardson is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in teaching language arts to students who have faced significant trauma and neglect, currently serving as a Teacher at Villa of Hope since March 2018. With a strong background in English language instruction, Melissa has held previous roles including English Teaching Fellow at Greenheart International, where collaboration with Colombian educators took place, and an English Teacher at Moon Kkang Academy, emphasizing advanced ESL skills. Melissa's early career includes teaching positions at NYOS Charter School, Fulton County Schools, where notable leadership in the writing program and student council was demonstrated, and Solomon Schechter Day School. Melissa earned a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut in 2002.
