Cali Simmons

As a Senior Program Associate at Village Capital, Ayush works on program execution for companies from South and Southeast Asia region.

He’s particularly passionate about the role of social finance in developing economies, and how Village Capital can catalyse the impact investing ecosystem in South Asia.

Prior to joining Village Capital, Ayush worked in the Government of Maharashtra, India, where he lead a program to inculcate entrepreneurial thinking in the curriculum of close to 150K students, and also worked on policy frameworks to boost innovation in the state. Before that, he has worked with early-stage startups at riidl - an incubation centre based out of Mumbai. He’s a graduate from the University of Mumbai, where he was the institute’s Literary Secretary, founded the TEDx community on campus, and lead multiple other initiatives.
