Amrit Rao

Amrit Rao is a seasoned investor and entrepreneur with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as a General Partner at Village Global since 2022, Rao leads pre-seed and seed investments in a venture capital firm supported by prominent figures including Reid Hoffman and Jeff Bezos. Simultaneously, Rao holds an independent board director position at SkyCool Systems Inc., where innovative cooling technologies are being developed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Prior to these roles, Rao co-founded and served as CEO of Made and Modern Hard Goods, INC., focusing on custom furniture production, and worked in senior analyst positions at firms such as Starboard Value and Tiger Management, contributing to significant investment strategies. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a degree from Stanford University.
