Ivan Georgiev is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience in various roles. Since May 2022, Ivan has served as a Police Officer for the Village of Hanover Park. Prior to this, Ivan was a Public Safety Officer at DePaul University from October 2021 to May 2022 and worked as an Inspector in the Cybercrime Department of the General Directorate Combating Organized Crime from November 2018 to May 2021. Ivan's investigative experience includes positions as a Police Investigator at both the 5th Police Station Sofia Directorate of the Interior from January 2017 to November 2018 and the Kardzhali Regional Directorate of Interior from November 2014 to January 2017, where Ivan also held the title of Platoon Commander/Police Commander. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Combating Crime and Securing Public Order from the Academy of the Ministry of Interior, a Master's degree in Law from South-West University "Neofit Rilski" Blagoevgrad, and a Master's degree in European Union Law from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Ivan completed training at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy from July 2022 to December 2022.
