Christopher Simpkins is a licensed environmental health practitioner currently employed by the Village of Oak Park since October 2024. Prior experience includes working as an Environmental Health Specialist I for the Will County Health Department and Community Health Center, where responsibilities included coordinating a countywide tick surveillance program and managing grant reporting and permits. Christopher also served as a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist at Amazon, focusing on safety metrics and incident investigations, and held the position of Environmental Intern at the Chicago Department of Aviation, where tasks involved documenting deicing fluid usage and drafting water quality reports. Other roles include an Entomology Lab Intern at the Northwest Mosquito Abatement District and various positions in healthcare settings, including a Clinic Scheduling Coordinator and Lead Medical Screener during the COVID-19 pandemic. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Public Health Sciences from Loyola University Chicago.
