Matt Walsh

Matt Walsh currently serves as the Village Administrator for the Village of River Forest, a position held since April 2022, with prior experience as the Assistant to the Village Administrator. Previously, Matt held the role of Interim Village Manager and Assistant to the Village Manager in Homer Glen, where notable achievements included receiving the Mayor’s Award for exceptional teamwork and managing a diverse team. Matt's earlier roles include Administrative Analyst, where website redesign and vendor proposal preparation were key responsibilities, and Commissioner for the Park District of Forest Park, recognized for outstanding service. Matt’s career also includes experience as a Contract Enforcement Assistant with UNITE HERE and a Field Organizer for ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Administration in Financial Management and Local Government and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Public Affairs, both from the University of Illinois Chicago.
