Debra Stinson

Debra Stinson has a rich and diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Since February 2021, they have been serving as the Director of Human Resources at the Village of Skokie, where they are responsible for various HR functions such as classification and compensation, benefits administration, labor relations, policy development, and employee relations. Prior to that, Debra held the role of Executive Director at ABFM, where they developed and oversaw training programs for incarcerated and released ex-offenders. From 2001 to 2019, Debra worked as the VP of Human Resources at a major hotel management company, handling recruitment, compensation, training, and employee relations for a portfolio of hotels and corporate staff. Before joining the hotel management company, they worked for the City of Chicago in various roles, including Deputy Director of Business Services Division and Finance & Administration Division, as well as the Director of Human Resources in the Department of Housing. Overall, Debra Stinson has extensive experience in human resources management in both public and private sectors.

Debra Stinson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Chicago State University. Debra also holds a Master of Science degree in Management, with a specialization in Human Resources, from National Louis University. In addition, Debra has completed a program in Biblical Studies and is a Licensed Minister from Charis Bible College - Schererville, Indiana Campus. Debra has also been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from St. Michaels Institute.
