Gerry Smith

Gerry Smith has extensive experience in leadership and management roles, notably serving as a Trustee for the Village of Wilmette since January 2011 and Chair of the Village's Human Relations Commission. At the University of Illinois Chicago, Gerry has held various positions related to minority affairs and engineering, including roles as the Director of Minority Affairs and Director of the Equity and Inclusion Engineering Program since August 2020, and similar positions since December 2009. Previous experience includes management roles at IBM, where Gerry led teams in customer satisfaction and deal management across different sectors, and served as the Chairman of the Pastoral Parish Council at St. Nicholas Church from 2006 to 2012. Gerry holds a BA in Math & Economics from Northwestern University and a Master's degree in Marketing from Roosevelt University.
