Gerry Smith has extensive experience in leadership and management roles, notably serving as a Trustee for the Village of Wilmette since January 2011 and Chair of the Village's Human Relations Commission. At the University of Illinois Chicago, Gerry has held various positions related to minority affairs and engineering, including roles as the Director of Minority Affairs and Director of the Equity and Inclusion Engineering Program since August 2020, and similar positions since December 2009.
