Matt Overeem

Matt Overeem is the current Water & Sewer Superintendent at the Village of Wilmette. Prior to their current position, Matt served as a consultant for The WindWay from January 2008 to December 2016. Matt also served as Superintendent for the Village of Mount Prospect from December 2004 to May 2017. In addition, Matt was the Director of Buildings for Niles School District 219 from January 2000 to December 2004. Their previous positions also include Director of Public Works/Zoning and Building Administrator for the Village of South Elgin from January 1998 to December 2000 and Field Office Manager for Etak from January 1995 to December 1998.

Matt Overeem has a BA in Geography and Urban Studies from Northwestern University. Matt also has a certificate in Wind Power from Gotland University and a certificate in GIS from Ferris State University. Additionally, they have a certificate in Construction Management from Oakton Community College and an MPA in Local Government from Roosevelt University. Finally, they have a certificate in Electronic Control Data Institute.
