Cara Huinker serves as a Forensic Specialist and Team Leader at the North Regional Violent Crimes Task Force (NORTAF) since January 2016, focusing on investigations related to homicides, non-parental kidnappings, and officer-involved deaths across thirteen communities in Northeast and Northwest Cook County. Additionally, Cara has been a Police Officer with the Village of Winnetka since December 2013 and previously held the position of Police Assistant in the City of Rolling Meadows from December 2012 to December 2013, where responsibilities included assisting desk traffic and managing non-emergency communications. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from Northeastern Illinois University and certificates in Homicide Investigation and Crime Scene Technology from the University of Louisville and Northwestern University, respectively, alongside an Associate's degree from Oakton College.

Village of Winnetka
