Sunny G. Hallowell

Sunny G. Hallowell is an accomplished academic and healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing and education. Currently serving as a tenured Associate Professor at Villanova University's College of Nursing since September 2015, Hallowell also holds the position of Faculty Scholar at the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation since September 2021. Previous roles include Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research. Hallowell's clinical background includes Pediatric Nurse Practitioner positions at Penn Medicine and a staff nurse role in Neonatal Intensive Care. Hallowell's education includes a PhD and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto.
