Claude Deschuymer is a seasoned fire service professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within municipal fire departments. As the Directeur du service de sécurité incendie de Blainville since September 2016, Claude oversees fire safety operations. Previous positions include Chef de division operation at Service incendie de Montréal, managing seven fire stations and approximately 220 firefighters, and Chef de division SST. Claude's career began as a firefighter in 1988, progressing through ranks to Captain, and includes significant roles in fire investigations and education. Claude also served as an instructor at Collège Montmorency, specializing in fire cause and circumstances research, and was responsible for training in that field for Quebec. Claude holds a degree in Professional Firefighting from St Maxime in Laval and has a strong background in operations, training, and fire safety management.
