Quentin Tonnerre

Quentin Tonnerre, PhD, is a co-director at the Observatoire du sport populaire since February 2022, focusing on the social capabilities of sports actors and providing scientific advice to sports organizations and public authorities. Additionally, Quentin has served as a member of the Commission consultative de l'éducation physique et du sport for the Etat de Vaud since January 2023 and as a supplemental leader in the sports and physical activity service for the Ville d'Yverdon-les-Bains from March 2022. With previous roles including communication officer at the Université de Lausanne and project manager at the Global Sport & Olympic Studies Center, Quentin has extensive experience in academic settings and event management. Educational background includes a PhD in Diplomatic History and Sport from the University of Lausanne and various advanced studies in leadership and regulation of global sport.
