Brenton Welford is an experienced professional with a diverse work background. Brenton co-founded Vilota in 2023, where they focus on solving localization challenges in various industries. Brenton also works as a Strategic Accounts Advisor at Imubit, starting in July 2023.
Brenton previously held the position of Vice President of Business Development at SafeAI, Inc. from June 2020 to January 2023. In this role, they contributed to the transformation of autonomous operations in the mining and construction sectors. Before that, they served as a voluntary Strategic Adviser at Lospalos Coconut Oil from December 2019 to January 2021.
In 2016, Brenton joined Airobotics as the Vice President of Sales for North America. During their tenure, they played various roles such as Director of Account Management, Director of Mining Projects, Project, Product & Account Director, and Head of Market Research. Their responsibilities at Airobotics involved leading the sales team, providing aerial data to mining clients, and improving operational efficiency.
Prior to their work at Airobotics, Brenton worked as an Assistant Manager in Interpreting Solutions at VITS - Victorian Interpreting & Translating Service from November 2012 to August 2015. Brenton was responsible for managing a support center and coordinating logistics professionals.
Brenton also had a role as a Sessional Instructor at Monash University from February 2012 to October 2013. In this position, they planned and led university tutorials for undergraduate students in the Philosophy Department, focusing on various research areas.
Additionally, they worked as a Business Analyst at Creative Territory from September 2011 to March 2012 and as a Purchasing Officer at Monadelphous from April 2010 to September 2010.
Before joining the workforce, Brenton was a Visiting Researcher at De La Salle University from November 2010 to July 2011, where they conducted research and delivered guest lectures on topics including philosophy of science and neuroscience.
From 2003 to 2009, Brenton Welford pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Honours degree in Philosophy at Monash University.
