Derrick Carey

Derrick Carey is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in film and video production. Currently serving as an Editor at LAUNCH Photography, Film and Video Inc. since 2016, Derrick also founded Rabid Child Films in 2007, specializing in a variety of genres including comedy, horror, and documentary. Prior to these roles, Derrick worked as a freelance video editor from 2008 to 2016, collaborating with various production companies and notable clients. Derrick's early career included positions at Meridian Studios LLC, Civilian Edit, Third Place Books as House Sound Engineer, and an internship at Ironwood Studios. Derrick holds a degree in Radio, TV, and Film from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and has additional training from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences.
