Hong Thai has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to the present day. Hong started their career as a Credit Officer at Ngân Hàng TMCP Hàng Hải, where they handled client loan applications and assessed creditworthiness. Hong then moved on to become a Transaction Accountant at the same bank, where they managed bank accounts and processed transactions.

In 2013, Hong Thai joined IMEIGS International Company Limited as an Assistant to the Director. Hong'sresponsibilities included evaluating advertising tactics, designing promotional materials, and conducting job interviews.

In 2015, Hong Thai transitioned into the field of Wealth Management at VinaCapital, where they have taken on various roles. Hong started as a Business Development Associate, identifying potential clients and proposing suitable investment products. Hong then became a Senior Business Development Associate, leading a sales team and distributing investment products through Saigon Commercial Bank. Hong Thai later became a Training & Development Team Leader, planning and delivering training programs for VinaCapital's partners, including banks and insurance companies. Hong'smost recent role at VinaCapital is Head of Partnerships & Training, where they continue to oversee training initiatives and forge partnerships.

Hong Thai obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the National Economics University (NEU) Vietnam, completing the program from 2003 to 2007.
