Thu Nguyen

Thu Nguyen, CFA, has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Thu is currently the Managing Director and Head of Investments at VinaCapital, where they are responsible for managing open-ended funds and segregated mandates in both domestic and international markets. Thu is also the lead Portfolio Manager of the Forum One VCG Partners Vietnam Fund. Prior to their current role, they served as the CEO of VAM Vietnam Fund Management Joint Stock Company, where they successfully launched a UCITS-compliant fund investing in Vietnam listed equities. Thu also held the position of Co-Founder and Investment Director at Vietnam Asset Management Ltd. Additionally, they have experience as a Portfolio Manager at BankInvest and as an Investment Analyst at DBS Asset Management. Thu began their career as an Analyst at Jurong International and later worked as a Summer Analyst at J.P. Morgan.

Thu Nguyen, CFA pursued their higher education from 1999 to 2003 at the National University of Singapore, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance with First Class Honours. In 2001, they participated in an exchange program at The University of Texas at Austin with a focus on Business studies.
