Nevena Veljković

Nevena Veljković has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Nevena is currently the CEO & Founder of GENIAL Science, a role they took on in May 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Heliant Health starting from March 2020.

Nevena'sprevious experience includes being a Principal Research Fellow and later the Director at the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences. Nevena worked in the Laboratory for bioinformatics and computational chemistry from November 2013 to March 2020.

Nevena also has teaching experience, serving as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Biology from September 2018 to March 2020. Before that, they worked as a Lecturer at the same university from January 2011 to June 2011.

Nevena began their career as a Research Trainee at the NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE CRO AVIANO from October 1995 to January 1997.

Nevena Veljković holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, which they earned from 1990 to 1996. Nevena then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biomedicine from the same university, completing it from 1996 to 1999. Continuing their education, they obtained a PhD in Biotechnology & Biochemical Engineering from the University of Belgrade between 1999 and 2001.
