Vandad H. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Business Unit General Manager at VINCI Energies since September 2020. Previously, Vandad held key positions such as Head of Energy Networks at Atkins and Head of Grid Connections at Ørsted, with a focus on managing and delivering design and grid connection projects for various clients across Europe and North America. With a strong technical background, Vandad completed a PhD in Electrical Power Systems from the University of Bath, specializing in the control of wind turbine generators, and has contributed to advancements in demand side response technologies. Current academic pursuits include a Master of Laws at BPP Law School, alongside qualifications as a Chartered Engineer.
