Janne Salmi

Janne Salmi has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Janne currently works as a Development Director at Vincit, where they lead and executes international expansion projects. Janne is also the Cell and Community lead in Vincit's newest talent hub in Portugal. Janne is responsible for developing delivery processes between Europe and the USA.

Prior to their current role, Janne worked at Codemate Ltd as the Marketing Director from August 2015 to April 2022. Janne was responsible for leading Codemate's marketing function globally, including strategy, execution, and managing the team. Janne was also a member of the management team and in charge of strategic partnerships with other agencies. Additionally, they served as the Business Development Director, leading the Singapore office for Codemate and Reaktor, from September 2018 to March 2020. In this role, they were responsible for business development, recruitment, team management, and marketing. Before that, they worked as a Sales Manager at Codemate, contributing to B2B sales of design and software development services for corporate clients and startups.

Janne co-founded Socfri Oy, a social event company, in August 2011. Janne was involved in organizing networking events and managing the Njetwork Inn social office space. Janne specialized in sponsorship sales for the company. Janne worked at Socfri Oy until March 2015.

From March 2008 to August 2010, Janne worked as a Senior Consultant at Fotracon, providing foreign trade consulting and market research services for Finnish SMEs. Janne was in charge of marketing and sales and participated in project deliveries, including organizing trade delegations between Norway and Finland.

Earlier in their career, Janne worked as a Salesman in the Interior products department at K-Rauta from May 2004 to September 2009. Janne handled customer service and stock management tasks, with a specialty in paints. Janne also worked as a Marketing Assistant and Project Manager at Location Data Systems (LDS Group) from May 2008 to February 2009, where they were involved in the marketing and sales of a GPS locator and served as a project manager in a market research project in Spain.

Janne Salmi received their Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business from Oulun Seudun Ammattikorkeakoulu in 2009. Janne then pursued a Master of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from the University of Oulu, which they completed in 2011. During their studies, in 2008-2009, Janne Salmi also attended Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) where they focused on high tech marketing.
