Tero Salomäki

Tero Salomäki has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. Tero started their career at Nokia in 1998, where they held various roles including Senior Software Engineer, Manager, Configuration Requirements, Collaboration Manager, and Project Manager, Collaboration. During their time at Nokia, Tero managed IT projects, handled requirements for mobile device platforms, and facilitated collaboration with external parties. Tero also played a key role in supporting and evaluating debugger tools.

In 2014, Tero joined Microsoft as a WLAN SW Technology Owner and later became a Senior Software Engineering Lead. In these roles, they led a team of SW engineers and was responsible for WLAN SW for Lumia phones. Tero successfully ramped up the team after organizational changes and implemented new tools and processes.

In 2016, Tero worked as a student for Cloud Computing at Tampere University of Technology. Tero then moved on to RD Velho Oy in 2017, where they served as a Senior Software Designer and Project Manager. In this role, they managed customer projects in software and IoT while also being involved in full stack development using various technologies.

Most recently, Tero joined Vincit in 2019 as a Full Stack Developer. Overall, Tero has a strong background in software development, project management, and team leadership within the technology industry.

Tero Salomäki's education history includes a variety of programs and degrees. From 2016 to 2017, they participated in the Cloud Computing Training Programme at Tampere University of Technology. Before that, from 2007 to 2009, they studied Business Administration and Management, General at the University of Tampere.

Tero'smost significant educational achievement is obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tampere University of Technology, which they earned from 1992 to 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Tero has also obtained various certifications. Tero received a certification as a Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in December 2022. Tero also holds a PRINCE2 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice since July 2018. In September 2017, they completed the Talous Haltuun Virtuaalisesti program offered by Aalto EE Executive Programs and Networks. Moreover, they are a Certified Scrum Master since May 2016, Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified since March 2013 by MoreSteam, and a Certified SAFe 5 Practitioner since July 2021, accredited by Scaled Agile, Inc. Finally, they obtained an Alibaba Cloud Associate certification from Alibaba Cloud in April 2020.
