Christine Kempthorne

Christine Kempthorne is a Senior Research Technician in Biochemistry at Vineland Research and Innovation Centre since June 2021, previously serving as a Research Assistant there from May 2018 to April 2019, focusing on tomato-on-the-vine feeding experiments and metabolite profiling. Christine has extensive academic experience as a Lab Demonstrator at Brock University from August 2018 to July 2022, facilitating undergraduate courses in plant and microbial biotechnology, plant physiology, molecular biology, metabolic biochemistry, and introductory biology. Prior teaching roles include positions at McMaster University from August 2016 to April 2018, covering second and third-year plant biology courses. Christine holds a PhD in Chemical Biotechnology from Brock University, along with an MSc in Molecular Biology and a BSc in Biochemistry and Biomedical Science from McMaster University. Additionally, Christine has expertise in web programming and print media design from a self-employed career spanning a decade.
