Melissa Staid

Melissa Staid has a diverse work experience spanning from 1989 to the present. Melissa started their career as a CPA at Arthur Andersen & Co., where they worked from 1989 to 1991. Following that, they joined Whittlesey and Hadley, CPAs as a Senior Accountant (CPA) until 1993. Melissa then worked at Brown University as a Laboratory Assistant and Teaching Assistant from 1993 to 1999. In 1999, they became the Owner of VineView, a company that specializes in crop diagnostics for vineyards. Melissa held this position for almost 19 years and was responsible for delivering innovative and custom data solutions. In 2007, Melissa took on the role of CFO and co-owner at Scientific Aerial Imaging, Inc, where they worked until 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Executive VP Business Development at VineView.

Melissa Staid holds a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from Brown University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1999. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Hartford from 1989 to 1990. Melissa's undergraduate studies were completed at Colby College, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geological Sciences from 1985 to 1989.
