Markus Ljung is the current Chief Operating Officer at Violet AI, starting in October 2024. Previously, Markus served as Chief Technology Officer at 20NINE from 2022 to 2024 and held the position of Director of Data and Analytics at Stockholm Public Transport from 2019 to 2022, managing a large team focused on data, analytics, and integration solutions. Earlier roles include Head of Cloud Platform at Avalon Solutions, CTO at VisueCare, and Project Manager positions at ÅF, HiQ, and Sony Ericsson. Markus began a professional journey as a Configuration Manager and developer at Cybercom Group, preceded by consulting roles at Semcon. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Mälardalen University and an MBA from Blekinge Institute of Technology, alongside studies in German and French languages.
