Siu Ying Shin

Siu Ying Shin has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Siu Ying began their career as an Accounting Clerk at Johnston McLamb, where they performed various tasks such as AP processing, invoicing, and maintaining the fixed asset schedule. Siu Ying also designed and implemented a filing system and negotiated payment terms on collection items.

After that, Siu Ying Shin joined The SEEP Network as a Staff Accountant. In this role, they oversaw and processed all financial functions for the non-profit organization, including managing a grants portfolio of $5 billion annually. Siu Ying was responsible for purchasing operations, payroll processing, and documentation compliance.

Following their time at The SEEP Network, Siu Ying Shin worked at PAE as a Senior Project Accountant. Siu Ying coordinated the financial functions for the company's largest project, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, cash management, and payroll. Siu Ying successfully reconciled accounts payable and accounts receivable for questionable billings, identifying $2 million in under-billing and improving billing efficiency.

Currently, Siu Ying Shin is employed at ViON Corporation, where they have held various roles since 2012. Siu Ying started as a Senior Accountant, collaborating with the Finance team to perform month-end close procedures, preparing financial statements, and acting as a point of contact for external financial inquiries. Siu Ying then progressed to roles as Accounting Manager and Senior Accounting Manager before assuming their current position as Controller.

Siu Ying Shin pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from 2004 to 2006 at George Mason University - School of Business.
