Karen Duffy

Karen Duffy is a Principal of Venue Industry Professionals Pty Ltd. Karen has held positions within Human Resources and training since 1991.

Prior to the establishment of VIPeople, Karen’s experience was in the Hospitality and Catering industry with Spotless Services Limited and the Retail industry with Strathfield Group Limited.

Both roles were held in the Human Resources departments and focused on areas such as recruitment of hospitality and retail staff, resourcing, training development and delivery, workers compensation management and performance appraisals.

Since the establishment of VIPeople, Karen has continued to focus on the human resource aspects of the business. She is primarily responsible for the advertising, recruitment, resourcing, and training of the casual team. Karen is the point of contact for all staff and manages all aspects of staff relations primarily through a regular presence at venues and events.

In addition, Karen has developed the website, is responsible for industrial relations issues, Workcover compliance, WH&S and development of staff contracts, payroll and all other administrative functions relating to staff.
