Beatriz Kowalski has a diverse work experience in the field of research. Beatriz started their career at the University of Georgia as a REU Summer Research Fellow, where they worked on predicting the growth rate of Salmonella enterica Typhimurium using a rrn-promotor-YFP reporter. Beatriz then moved to San Francisco State University, where they served as a Graduate Research Associate, focusing on investigating post-replicative DNA backbone modification in Salmonella species. Following that, they joined Achaogen as a Research Associate II, developing and implementing a microfluidics-based screening platform for bacterial neutralizing monoclonal antibodies. Currently, they are working at Vir Biotechnology, Inc. as a Principal Research Associate, having previously held roles as a Senior Research Associate and Research Associate.
Beatriz Kowalski completed their education with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Microbiology from San Francisco State University in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from California Lutheran University in 2013. Beatriz completed their high school education at Bishop Alemany High School from 2005 to 2009.
