Geetha Shankar

Geetha Shankar is an accomplished leader in clinical development with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Vir Biotechnology, Inc. since September 2024, Geetha previously held significant roles such as Head of Clinical Development and SF Site Head at Sanofi, and Vice President of Clinical Science and Clinical Operations at Amunix Pharmaceuticals. Prior experience includes a decade at Genentech, where Geetha progressed from Principal Clinical Scientist to Group Clinical Science Director, as well as leadership in clinical science at Exelixis Inc. Geetha holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and a Master of Science in Medicinal Chemistry from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.
