Jonathan Zhang

Jonathan Zhang is a dedicated research professional with significant experience in biotechnology and biomedical sciences. Currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at Vir Biotechnology, Inc., Jonathan is involved in analytical development, CMC late-stage support, and technical development for cell-line development to toxicology. Previous roles include developing cell-based assays for target validation at Interline Therapeutics and conducting vital research on the pathogenesis of Listeria monocytogenes at the Portnoy Lab, University of California, Berkeley. Jonathan also has a background in biologics development and manufacturing from Kodiak Sciences and has contributed to research on HIV-1 glycoproteins at the Cheng Lab, University of California, Davis. With a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis, and ongoing doctoral studies in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Jonathan possesses a robust foundation in microbiological research and analysis.
