Kate Bunyan has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Kate began their career in 2009 as a Speciality Doctor in Emergency Medicine at Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust. In 2010, they became the Medical Director for Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard). Kate returned to Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust in 2018 as a Clinical Director for Unscheduled Care and a Speciality Doctor in Emergency Medicine. In 2019, they became the Chief Clinical Innovation Officer and Chief Medical Officer at Doctor Care Anywhere. In 2016, they worked as a Consultant at Lemonade Thinking. From 2014 to 2018, they were the Founding Co-Director at MB Medical Solutions. In 2018, they became the Medical Director at Miad Healthcare. Most recently, they are the Medical Director at Vira Health, starting in 2022.
Kate Bunyan has an extensive educational history. Kate completed their A-Levels at Toothill, Bingham from 1994 to 1996, majoring in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Kate then attended Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine from 1996 to 2002, where they earned their MBBS and BSc in Radiological Sciences with Basic Medical Sciences. Kate then obtained a Diploma in Immediate Medical Care from the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. In 2010, they earned a Diploma in Remote and Offshore Medicine from the Faculty of Medical Informatics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Finally, they completed their Master of Science in Medical Leadership (Organisational Psychology) at Birkbeck, University of London from 2014 to 2019. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Level 3 Safeguarding from the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine (2012), Advanced Life Support from the Resuscitation Council (UK) (2013), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (2013).
