Bernard Costa has a diverse work experience in the field of data and software engineering. Bernard started their career at Loqus Business Intelligence as a Software Engineer from June 2017 to August 2019. Then, in December 2019, they joined a company where they worked as a full-time Machine Learning Engineer. In this role, they focused on developing deep neural networks to predict financial indices, such as the S&P500, and achieved better statistics compared to existing literature. Bernard also conducted meticulous data mining, wrangling, and augmentation, and implemented research papers to improve resource efficiency, explainability, and accuracy. In December 2020, they transitioned to their current role as a Data Engineer at Virail.

Bernard Costa pursued their education starting from 2014 to 2017 at the University of Malta, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computational Physics. Following this, from 2017 to 2018, Bernard continued their academic journey at the University of Malta and obtained a Master's degree in Physics.

In addition to their formal education, Bernard Costa has also obtained various certifications. In June 2019, they completed the "Machine Learning" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" courses from Coursera. Later, in October 2021, Bernard obtained certifications in "Google Cloud Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals" and "Modernizing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses with GCP," both from Coursera as well.
