Sanjay Grewal

Sanjay Grewal has over 25 years of experience in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Sanjay began their career in 1991 as a Business Development Manager for Sumitomo Corporation of Americas in New York. In 1994, they joined Citi as a Director in the Project & Structured Trade Finance Group, where they worked on several financing and advisory opportunities. From 1999 to 2001, they were a Senior Associate at the Investment Banking Division of Lehman Brothers in Hong Kong. From 2002 to 2007, they were the Principal Investment Officer & Head of the East Asia & Pacific Infrastructure Advisory Group at the International Finance Corporation. Sanjay then joined IDFC FIRST Bank as the Corporate & Investment Banking Head and Member of the Operating & Bank Steering Committee. In 2015, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Altico Capital, and in 2020, they were appointed by the global private equity fund KKR & Co. Inc. as the Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director to spearhead its renewable energy vertical in India.

Sanjay Grewal received their High School degree from Modern School in 1986. Sanjay then went on to earn a Bachelors of Commerce (Hons) from Shri Ram College of Commerce between 1986 and 1989. Sanjay concluded their educational journey with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from the University of Hartford between 1989 and 1991.
