Stuart Baylis

Stuart Baylis is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as a First Officer for Virgin Atlantic, flying the Airbus A330/350 since January 2022. Baylis previously held the same position at Virgin Atlantic from March to October 2020, and at easyJet, operated the Airbus A320 from October 2018 to February 2020. Stuart has a background in operational analysis as a Senior Specialist at K2 Management and gained valuable insights into airline operations during a short tenure in Virgin Atlantic's Airport Operations and Flight Operations departments. Training as a student pilot with L3 Commercial Training Solutions led to the acquisition of a multi-crew pilots' licence (MPL) sponsored by Virgin Atlantic. Prior to aviation, Baylis worked in the renewable energy sector at Prevailing Ltd, where significant contributions to operational analysis and software development were made, and began the career as a Student Engineer at GL Garrad Hassan. Baylis holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Surrey, completed in 2009.
