Kester Hubbard

Kester Hubbard is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in people communications, media relations, and strategic communications. Currently serving as Senior Manager People Communications at Virgin Australia since June 2025, Kester has previously held roles such as Senior Communications Advisor at EDL and various leadership positions at BHP, including Communications Lead for the Integrated Contractor Management Program and Manager Media Relations. Prior experience includes Lead Communications Advisor at QGC, Senior Communications Consultant at Phillips Group, and Senior Advisor at Thiess Services. Kester began a career in journalism at Sunshine Coast Newspapers and holds a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Science from QUT.
