Matt Vicker

Matt Vicker is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in flight control systems and product development. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Virgin Galactic since August 2022, Vicker leads the engineering team responsible for developing Fly-by-Wire flight control systems for spaceships and motherships. Prior to this, Vicker was Principal Engineer at Data Aire, Inc., where leadership in new product development projects significantly boosted sales. At Parker Aerospace, Vicker held the role of Senior Systems Engineer, guiding teams in the creation of flight control systems for various aircraft. Earlier career experiences include software engineering at Day Automation Systems and an engineering co-op at Calspan Corporation, where system designs contributed to successful flight testing. Vicker holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
