Leo Wong has a diverse work experience in various technical roles. Leo started their career in 2002 as a Programmer at EPRO Systems Limited. In 2004, they joined Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems as a Staff Software Engineer, where they worked on multiple successful projects related to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technologies. Leo served as a senior developer and technical lead, and their responsibilities included program management, technical leadership, and flight test execution. One of their notable projects was the development of Vehicle Agnostic Sense-and-Avoid Technology, where they were the deputy program manager and principal investigator. Leo also led the design and development of a situational awareness interface for a UAV ground control station. Leo's most recent position is as the Director of Modeling and Simulation at Virgin Hyperloop since 2017.

Leo Wong completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, from the year 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California, from 2007 to 2009.
