Olenka Barnett

Olenka Barnett is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in internal communications and engagement. Currently serving as a Senior Internal Communications Manager at Virgin Media O2 since May 2021, Olenka leads the implementation of the internal communications strategy, focusing on initiatives such as ESG and DE&I. Prior to this role, Olenka held various positions at Sainsbury's from September 2017 to April 2021, where responsibilities included managing the Yammer network and overseeing colleague engagement initiatives. Olenka began a career in communications with roles at Waterstones and DAC Beachcroft LLP, complemented by earlier experience in the education sector as a singing teacher. Olenka holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performance from Northumbria University and has additional educational background in Theatre from York University.
