Paul Farrell

Paul Farrell is the current Managing Director of Virgin Media Television. Paul has over 20 years of experience in the media and telecommunications industries.

Farrell began their career in 1997 as a Strategic Marketing Analyst for Lee Enterprises. Paul then moved to Verizon Wireless in 1998, where they worked as a Marketing Manager for Europe. In 2002, Farrell was recruited by O2 Ireland as their Marketing Director. Paul was then headhunted by The Irish Times in 2007 to become their Group Commercial Director.

In 2011, Farrell was approached by IPG Mediabrands to become their Managing Director. Paul held this position for three years before moving to Davy in 2014, where they became their Director of Strategy and Marketing. Farrell returned to Virgin Media in 2016 as their VP Commercial. Paul was promoted to their current role of Managing Director in 2020.

Paul Farrell has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from St. Ambrose University, a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing from the University of South Wales, and a National Diploma in Marketing from the Institute of Technology, Carlow. Paul also attended Joeys Fairview.

Paul Farrell works with Enrique Medina Malo - General Counsel & Chief Regulatory Officer, Patricia Cobian - CFO, and Tony Hanway - CEO, Virgin Media Ireland. Their manager is Lutz Schüler, CEO. A direct report to Paul Farrell is and Áine Ní Chaoindealbháin - Deputy Managing Director, Virgin Media Television.
