Ruth I.

Ruth I. currently serves as a Data Product Engineer in Machine Learning Operations at Virgin Media O2 and as Education Lead for Diverse AI, a volunteer-led organization focused on promoting diversity in AI through education and collaboration. Previously, Ruth held the position of AI Data Ethics & Security Researcher at Fujitsu, where research concentrated on neural networks and enhancing trust in AI model predictions. At Cardiff University, Ruth contributed as a Research Associate, tracking malware propagation in online social networks and developing statistical methods for addressing cyber transnational crimes, including identifying trafficking victims through natural language processing. Additionally, Ruth has experience as a Lead Python Instructor in the BT furtHER Programme and holds a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Data Science and Analytics from Brunel University London, along with a Master’s degree in Information Security from the same institution.
