John Risman is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the retail and consulting sectors. They served as Managing Director at Dixons Retail from 1991 to 2002, where they held various leadership roles, including MD of Currys and Group International Development Director. From 2003 to 2005, Risman was the COO of Thresher Group, successfully turning the company around to profitability. Currently, they are the Chief Executive of Hunter Douglas EMEA and the Chairman of Virgin Wines since 2018. Risman holds a degree in Physiological Sciences from the University of Oxford.
