Dr. Walter Brower

Dr. Walter Brower, Jr. currently serves as the Senior Executive Director of High Schools for Virginia Beach City Public Schools, a position held since July 2022. Prior to this role, Dr. Brower was the Principal at Norview High School from July 2017 to July 2022 and at Norview Middle School from August 2013 to July 2017. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant Principal at Lake Taylor High School from August 2011 to July 2013 and as a Teacher/Instructional Leader at Hampton High School from August 1999 to August 2011. Dr. Brower holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Northcentral University (2016-2020), a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University (2006-2008), and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Coppin State University (2001-2003).
