Linda Love

Linda Love, Ed.D. has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as the AVID/Section 504 Instructional Specialist and District Director for Virginia Beach City Public Schools since July 2011. In this role, Linda coaches educators and students in implementing AVID college readiness systems across 19 middle and high school sites and leads professional development in student engagement strategies. Prior to this, Linda was an Adjunct Professor at Averett University from November 2008 to June 2016, teaching Master of Education courses. Additional experience includes serving as an Instructional Specialist for K-12 Remedial Programs at Virginia Beach City Public Schools, where responsibilities included coordinating summer school operations and facilitating professional learning on literacy initiatives. Early in the career, Linda worked as a School-to-Work Supervisor, managing federal grants and leading technical assistance visits for the Virginia Department of Education. Linda holds a BA and MEd in English and English Education from the University of Virginia and an EdD in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
