The Virginia Beach Convention and Visitor Bureau (CVB) supports, maintains and expands the City's leisure travel (including the group tour market and international travel) and  the meeting & convention and sports marketing markets. The CVB offers corporate social responsibility programs for clients and CVB staff participates in them both as a bureau and with the hospitality industry. The budget for the Bureau is over $18 million and over 100 employees. The Bureau also manages the 500,000 square foot Virginia Beach Convention Center (VBCC). The destination is proud to be the first "Virginia Green"​ destination in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the VBCC is the first LEED certified convention center for Existing Buildings.
