Alexis Barmoh

Alexis Barmoh is a dedicated Recreational Therapist currently employed at Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center since June 2023. Previous experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at Old Dominion University, where focus was on Parks, Recreation & Tourism Studies. Alexis has also served as an Inclusion Coordinator at Weinstein JCC and gained therapeutic experience as a Recreational Therapist at Einstein Healthcare Network, responsible for creating patient-centered care plans. An early career as a Recreational Therapy Intern at Catawba Hospital involved conducting therapy sessions and assessing patient progress, while work at Montgomery County Public Schools provided support in integrating special education. Educational background includes a degree in Recreation, Parks, & Tourism from Radford University, completed in 2020.
