Katie Hathaway

Katie Hathaway has been working in the field of events and marketing since 2006. Katie began their career at AIPT as a Program Specialist, where they were responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with multibillion dollar corporations, as well as providing in-country support for trainees. In 2009, they became a Senior Intern at Initiatives of Change in Caux, Switzerland, where they were one of 12 senior interns in a group of 64 and was responsible for meeting and welcoming culturally diverse international participants. In 2010, they took on a role as a Conference Secretariat at Initiatives of Change, as well as a Project Management Office Intern at Workscape, Inc. In 2011, they became the Director of Operations at Initiatives of Change/Hope in the Cities. Finally, in 2014, they began their current role as Director of Events & Marketing at the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, where they have also held the roles of Events & Communications Manager and Special Events Coordinator.

Katie Hathaway received their B.A. in International Relations from Franklin University Switzerland in 2006 and their M.A. in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University in 2010.
