Ernie Maddy has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Ernie is currently working at Virginia Community Capital as a Senior Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer since July 2017. Prior to this, Ernie served as a Business Launch Coordinator for the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development from September 2014 to July 2017, where they coordinated the implementation of a community business launch program.

Before joining DHCD, Ernie worked as a Business Development Specialist for Friends of Southwest Virginia from March 2014 to September 2014. Ernie also held the role of Senior Credit Manager at People Incorporated of Virginia from March 2008 to February 2014, where they managed credit operations.

Ernie's experience in the financial field includes working as a Non-Prime Mortgage Specialist for JPMorgan Chase Bank from May 2007 to March 2008. Ernie also worked as a Branch Manager for The Mortgage Center from March 2004 to May 2007, and for Sallie Mae, Inc from August 2002 to March 2004.

Ernie's early career included working as a Branch Manager for Equity One from November 1995 to August 2002. Prior to that, they worked as a Construction Assistant for Red Oak Restoration from August 1990 to November 1994. This diverse experience has provided Ernie with a strong foundation in finance, community development, and real estate lending.

Ernie Maddy obtained their High School Diploma from Patrick Henry High School between 1986 and 1989. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Emory & Henry College from 1989 to 1994.
