Jim Matus

Jim Matus has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Jim has recently worked at Virginia Community Capital as a VP, Credit Underwriting Manager and prior to that as an AVP, Real Estate Credit Analyst. Jim also has experience working at Capital One as a Senior Underwriter and Underwriter in the Small Business Card group. Additionally, they worked at First Citizens Bank as a VP, Business Banker and at SunTrust Bank as a VP, Business Banking Relationship Manager. Furthermore, they have had roles at Chase, including VP, Business Banking Relationship Manager and VP, Business Banker, where they were involved in growing and managing commercial relationships. Jim also held the position of VP, Private Client Banker, where they helped launch the Chase Private Client wealth management program. Overall, Jim Matus has demonstrated expertise in underwriting, credit analysis, business development, and relationship management throughout their career.

Jim Matus attended Illinois State University from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications in the financial and insurance industries. In November 2004, they obtained the Illinois Health and Life Insurance certification from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). In the same month, they also obtained the Series 63 certification from NASAA and the Series 6 certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in October 2004.
