David Bailey serves as the Director of Lay Servant Ministries at Virginia United Methodist Church since September 2015, representing the organization on the Board of Laity and EVC. Concurrently, David has held the position of L&D Systems Specialist at the Virginia Department of Transportation since August 2010. Previous experience includes 1st Vice President of L.C. Bird Band Boosters, where responsibilities involved supporting a high school marching band, and roles such as Director of Safety and Compliance at Atlantic Waste and Program Manager at Virginia DEQ. David’s early career included serving as Town Administrator for the Town of Cornelius. Educational credentials include an Associate degree in Project Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Safety Education from Appalachian State University.
